Concept
Touch Grass is a complete book binding project, from the writing, illustration, creating the patterned end pages, water marbling the paper, binding, and stitching. This short book is a synthesis of a field guide and art book featuring common plants and pollinators of Michigan. It is an invitation to get outside, “touch grass”, and enjoy what the great outdoors has to offer.
Description
Quarter-leather bound book, A5 size, 27 pages. Fully illustrated. Case stitched and bound by hand. Paper water marbled by hand using India ink. Initial sketching done with pencil on paper, then finished with Procreate on iPad.
